For organisers: how a festival gets into the directory

Beachfests lists 1,076 festivals by the sea in 76 countries. If yours is in the directory, you can correct it; if it is missing, you can tell us. This page explains how listings are built, so you know what to expect.

Where the information comes from

The festival list comes from Wikidata, the open knowledge base, and every festival has an official website that answered when we checked in October 2026. Locations are matched to a coastline using Natural Earth data. Months come from the festival’s own site, and only when it states one.

What you can ask us to change

Wrong town, wrong genre, a website that moved, a name that changed: tell us on the contact page. To remove a listing, say so in the same message. We answer within five working days. We never charge for a listing and we do not sell placement.

What we do not do

We do not sell tickets, we do not run the festivals, and we do not pass your details to a festival. Beachfests is an independent, unofficial directory.
