Privacy policy

This policy explains what Beachfests stores when you use the “Find a festival” form or the contact form, and why.

What we collect

• Shortlist request: your email address, your answers (genre, coast, month, distance to the water), the date and the wording of the consent you ticked.
• Contact message: your name, email address, the message and the date.
• Technical: a one-way fingerprint of your IP address, used only to limit abuse (six requests per hour). We do not keep the address itself.

Why, and how long

We use your email only to send the shortlist you asked for, or to answer your message. We keep each request for 12 months, then delete it automatically. We never sell your data and never pass it to a festival.

Your rights

You can ask to see or delete what we hold about you at any time through the contact page. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Cookies

The directory does not set advertising cookies. If we measure audience in the future, we will say so here first.
